Today was my first day on my 30 Day Shred Challenge. Overall I would have liked to have had a better day. I did the workout this morning with the kids here. Daycare was closed due to the weather so I had to call out of work. Even though Jordan kept trying to lay on me during the ab portions, I got the workout done and was darn proud of myself! The hardest part of the workout is circuit 1. All those push ups, I just can’t complete them. I’ll be glad when, in a few weeks I’m able to complete the entire set of push-ups. Push-ups are such a difficult move for me. I know it’s an amazing exercise but its results don’t come easy! I can do about 10 push-ups straight with good form. With this workout you’re not counting reps, you’re doing it in intervals of time. That’s taking some getting used to. For some reason it’s easier for me to say to myself “just do 4 more” instead of “just 10 more seconds”. Idk.
I also used 3lb weights this time and I think that helped with me getting thru it. Don’t get me wrong, the workout was difficult from start to finish…but I was able to complete it. I can already tell that I’ve built endurance in the few times that I have done(completed or not) this workout with the jumping jacks. Who’d have thought that a move that is as basic as a jumping jack would prove difficult as you get older and out of shape? Ha!
The area that I am disappointed in for my day is my eating. My problem is I don’t eat enough. I just wasn’t hungry today. I was involved in doing my youtube videos and watching the kids. My schedule during the week is different bc I’m eating lunch around 3pm so my body is thrown off bc it thought today was a weekday but yet I’m doing the weekend routine bc i’m home with the kids. It all came down to, me not eating much and when I did eat I didn’t make the best choices. Not bad but not great either. Either way I’m ready to get to schedule tomorrow, hoping anyway. The schools are on 2 hour delay tomorrow so idk if daycare is regular or delayed. If it’s delayed I’ll be doing another workout with Jordan trying to lay on me while I’m doing my crunches 🙂
