This is a blog I wanted to do completely by myself. Meaning I didn’t want to take info from Beachbody, I wanted to try to explain it in my own words. So hopefully, it makes sense!
I get asked a lot what is a coach? And before I became a coach, I asked the question myself. The answer is different for different people because people sign up to be a coach for different reasons. So let’s start with what it is for me and then we’ll discuss the other further. So for me, being a coach, is being my own business. But let’s back up a bit…I’ve been technically coaching for years and not knowing it. Because a coach is simply providing information and support to others. So since I started with Turbo Jam after having my daughter, a lot of people would ask me, “Aria what are you doing? You are looking good girl, what’s the secret?” Well the secret was that I found a workout program that I actually enjoyed doing. Yeah I know that’s shocking right? Well I was shocked too, and that’s why I shouted it from the rooftops! Before long, I had a whole group of us Turbo Jam fanatics at my job. Some of them still do Turbo to this day…some are even Beachbody Coaches themselves because of how wonderful the company and opportunity are! So that’s what being a coach is…it’s putting out the information to others, but mainly by being an example with your own success. It’s like you let the proof be in the pudding. So if I was coaching at that time, when I was first was doing Turbo Jam, as a coach I would be supporting my friends and co-workers, offering additional services and nutritionals that Beachbody offers, basically just providing a means of support and letting them know that Beachbody isn’t just about losing weight, it’s about a healthy lifestyle. That sums up being a coach, except….the most important thing… you get PAID for it!!! Yes that’s what I said!!!
So the next question may be…well how much do you get paid? And that’s a question that the answer depends on the coach. And it also goes back to the beginning where I said it depends on the reason they are a coach, because everybody isn’t in it for the same thing. So the answer can be as little as $50 a week, to $100 week, to $1000 a week, and on…I’m keeping it 100.
Your ears may have perked by now…and you’re like, what other kind of coaches are there? Well there are the coaches, who are only in it for the additional discounts. Those are more than likely people who have either come into Beachbody via a program, such as Turbo Jam , or they may have a coach who introduced them to Shakeology and they just want the discount. So these are what I call, discount shoppers. They like the products that Beachbody has (once you do Shakeology your body wants to keep a constant supply!) and they want to take advantage of the Coaches Discount but not necessarily wanting to really do anything more than that.
Then you have coaches who say, wow all of this access to this amazing info and products, and they look at the discount and they ‘re like, maybe a little extra money to offset my purchases would be nice. So they just do it to get a little income, but not really for a business. Maybe just an extra check or so from time to time is all they want.
Then you have me and I am doing this as a business. And I have big dreams, big plans and big goals. So although for now, this is extra income (which is definitely needed), but in the future, hopefully within 2011, this will be my primary source of income. I have mentors who have done it and I will too! I will posting a lot more info on being a coach and some success stories. Right now I wish I had more time on my hands, because it’s like I’m bursting at the seams with info but don’t have the opportunity to put it all out there! That’s just my current reality tho…soon it will be different.
