If you are a reader you know I’m all about saving money. This post is about the wonderful CVS Extracare Beauty Club. I love this program. I love it because it’s rewarding you even more for what I already do…which is buy beauty products. The plan is simple…enroll in the beauty club program and for 3 days you get an additional 10% off your beauty related purchases. After that for every $50 you spend on a beauty product you get $5 extracare bucks. I’ve already hit my first $50 and was pleasantly surprised to scan my card and get my $5 ecbs.
Here’s what I love about the program. I already love CVS. I already had my Extracare card, you don’t have to purchase anything or do anything additional other than to pick up the little paper to scan in the beauty aisles and take it to the cashier when you check out. Now you’re automatically enrolled in the Beauty Club. What I love the most is that there are tons of beauty coupons everywhere. And it’s easy to spend $50 within a few purchases here and there. The reason is that your price is your before coupon price. For example…let’s say I’m stocking up today, I’m getting some foundation from Revlon. Well let’s just say that foundation is $12.00. That $12 will go towards the $50.00. Let’s say I have a coupon for $5 off, so I’m only really paying $7 but the full $12 goes towards my $50.00. Let’s sweeten the deal, let’s say in this weeks ad, for Revlon cosmetics you got $3ECB if you spend $10.00. Not only did I get the foundation on sale, but it went to the beauty rewards and I got $3 ECB for that purchase. That my friends is how you make this work for you. Throw in maybe a mascara here and there, nail polish, face wash, etc. It all adds up and once you start getting your ECB’s that’s what you’ll use to pay for your purchases, so you’re coming out with free items or for very little out of pocket cost. So I just wanted to share with you if you already have it then you know how great it is. But if you don’t already know about the program you do now!
