To me the purpose of stockpiling is to have backups of things that you use in your life. You buy items when they’re on sale and with matching your coupons and then you have that next bar of soap already in your home instead of having to go out and buy it out of need. When you buy out of need you’re going to pay the price available at that time. It wasn’t my intending purpose to stock up on Gillette men’s bodywash, but that’s what happened.
Last week I got 2 of them at Harris Teeter. And I got a good deal:
The sale price was $4.49. I had an evic coupon for $2 off. I also had a coupon for bogo free. So with the combined coupons, I got 2 body washes for the total price of $2.49. Sweet!
Last night when I was going thru and planning my shopping for this morning I noticed that I had a new evic coupon available for $1 off. Plus this week it was on sale for less than last week! So I had to get it! The sale price was $3.49, plus the evic coupon and a manufacturer coupon of $1 each. Total price was $1.49!!
The only thing is that I wasn’t sure which one I already had, so ended up getting the same one but that’s okay. I wanted the Cool Wave scent but it’s not a big deal. He doesn’t care, he just likes to have body wash. It’s actually kinda funny because he had asked me to buy him some body wash last week because he was out. So while I was at HT I bbm’d him to ask if he still needed some because I knew he went to the store the day before. He said he got some, but I decided to buy it anyway. He got a Suave kind, which is okay, we use Suave too…but after he used the Gillette he wanted me to put the Suave one away! He’s been spoiled! lol I’m not sure how long body washes last, maybe 2 months?? If so, he has at least 6 months worth of body wash!
SN: I have a bad habit of making a post and then leaving it in drafts, so that I totally forget about the post. This is one of those posts…it was meant to be posted a few weeks back!
