I sure wasn’t looking forward to doing hair this weekend, but it had to be done. So I decided to turn to a simple style I have been wanting to try out for awhile. I got it from Beads Braids and Beyond. I probably bookmarked this look months ago, and today was just the lazy Sunday to try it out. As usual, I procrastinated and didn’t start her hair until 5pm. And that’s including taking her previous style out and also a dinner break, it was finished by 7:45 at the latest. The little girl featured on the blog obviously has a different texture and length to her hair, but I wanted to give it a shot with Bri’s hair. Aside from the fact that I still haven’t quite found the perfect combination of products for her hair texture, it is a quick and easy style.
I like this style, because it is simple and cute and it’s another beadless style. It seems with every new style, I’m itching to keep from putting in a relaxer. But I’m on a mission to keep her natural as long as possible. Before I used to say, not until after she turned 5, now I’ve moved it to 10. Who knows, maybe when we move, I’ll have her go to a salon and end the madness all the way around!
When I bought the hair-tie from Gymboree, I had this hairstyle in mind for it! It’s sure to be a repeat go-to style, especially for the summer! The next time I do this style, I will probably divide the middle braid into two braids. Her hair is extremely thick, and it’s much easier to braid it with smaller sections. I’m looking forward to a summer of simple styles 🙂
