Oftentimes I have my share of complaints when it comes to shopping a couponing event. This my friends, was not one of those times!
I got the heads up about Super Doubles about a week in advance this time.
Did that mean that I was prepared? Not really. But I wasn’t in a panic because I knew it was coming and I knew I had a good supply of coupons that were fairly organized. I didn’t really start preparing until Friday at work. When I first started preparing my goal was to go and get as much free as I could because financially I’m strapped. I ended up getting a bit more than that because it was needed. Now is definitely the time when I wish I had more inserts on hand because I would have come up with a bigger savings. Some items that were on sale now I have already used those coupons for in the past weeks. That sucks. I will have to start getting back to my old ways of getting several inserts because it’s worth it. Here’s a great site to get inserts from.
Anywho… I’m rambling. But before I got to my breakdown I did want to say that when I first got to Harris Teeter this morning (around 7am) I was very surprised to find that many of my freebies were available for me. For some sadly, I was taking the last ones tho. I had a guy come up to me and ask if I saw anymore of the Barilla entrees. I told him I got the last two that were there and I hated to be the bearer of bad news : ( but I know the feeling of not getting there in time. I actually wanted to get 3 but only 2 were available and it wasn’t the flavor I preferred.
I had $40 to spend and only a couple of items were out of stock. I did get a few items that were not on my list and items that were on sale but that I didn’t have coupons for.
[…] went on a quick run yesterday to Harris Teeter. Although I’ve had a heads up on the coupon event, I’m still a bit out of sorts with my current coupon stash. What else is new? Like […]
