This post is going up a few days later than expected, which is to be expected, it’s the week before Christmas after all. (or by now, just a couple of days) Eeek!!! I don’t think it matters how prepared you may be, the week before Christmas is all kinds of crazy! Today I’m sharing my holiday playlist and a few additions to my holiday decor that I’ve purchased since sharing my holiday home tour.
HOLIDAY PLAYLIST
I have created a couple of Christmas playlists on Spotify this season and I’ve been listening to them on heavy rotation.
I’m not one of the people who listens to Christmas music all the time. I typically like to listen to holiday tunes when we’re decorating, driving around during the holidays and when we open presents on Christmas morning.
Since I’ve made my playlists however, I’ve been listening to them when I’m cooking or cleaning or even when I’m at work and I need a pick me up from the boredom.
I made two playlists… the first one I’m calling Christmastime. This is my main playlist to get me in the holiday spirit. It’s full of my favorite classics and a few new songs from this year. I can’t even attempt to summarize it because I have broad musical taste, so just give it a listen 🙂
The second playlist I created I called Instrumental Christmas. These are beautiful Christmas songs that are perfect for background music. Perfect for Christmas Eve dinner. My mom has always played instrumental Christmas music for our holiday gatherings and I’ll keep that tradition going.
To listen to the playlists you can click on the links. If I find a player that I can embed that’s good, I’ll add that to the post. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
NEW DECOR ADDITIONS
There’s not much to add here and I’ve been really good about not buying anymore holiday decor. But I did get a few new additions.
Starting with this picture frame from Kohl’s. I was just sharing in my Holiday Home Tour that I hadn’t shopped at Kohl’s this season. Well I was pleased to find another Kohl’s that’s a little easier to access. I was there looking for gifts and was pulled into the holiday decorations section. I hadn’t found anything that jumped out at me until I was leaving the section and there it was. This wonderful jingle bell picture frame that matches my pantry jingle wreath!
I love that this frame along with many of the others I saw included these holiday theme quotes and pictures in them already. So if you didn’t want to put a real picture in right away you can still have it out and be festive!
I’ll have to see what else I can find when it’s time to use my Kohl’s cash 🙂
I think I mentioned in my Holiday Home Tour post that I hadn’t found the 2018 Target nutcrackers this year. If I didn’t say it in that post I said it in my Stories. So on my most recent Target run I looked in the entire store (got my steps in!) and found some!
I decided to get this golden nutcracker since I already have a silver one. I like how he adds to the festive vibe.
Last new addition wasn’t a purchase. It’s a gift from my husband’s boss. Isn’t it cute! Ornaments make nice gifts for office parties, or neighbors and teachers.
I hope you have enjoyed my holiday posts this year. I definitely know why bloggers start holiday posts in October because there’s just not enough time! I’ve already started thinking about what I want to do for next year and on the very top of the list is to start early. It’s so easy for so many things to come up as the holidays draw closer and it just becomes too much.
Either way, I want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!! And a Happy New Year since I can’t guarantee there’ll be a new post between now and then. Happy holidays friends!!
