A random post of all the things I’m loving lately from giveaways to books to games to play with the kids. This is what I’m loving lately.
Happy April! Whew! We don’t know what the month of April holds for us but we do know we will get through this together. Am I right! My daughter’s birthday is this month and I’m already trying to think of creative ways to celebrate at home. Let me know if you have any suggestions please!
Popping in really quickly to share a few things that I’ve been loving as of late. I think this is an easy way to share some of my favorite things and hopefully you’ll like this style of post and find a few new favorites too.

Here’s what I’ve been loving lately:
Joanna Gaines has been cooking recipes from her new cookbook over on InstaStories and they’re quite entertaining.
The Pioneer Woman is hosting daily giveaways on her blog.
Back in the day when the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy came out, I had all the books and mistakenly loaned them out. If you’re ever wondering why I won’t loan you a book, that’s why. I finally ordered the Grey books which are two books from Christian Grey’s perspective. I read Grey in two days then ordered Darker and almost finished with that.
Plus I repurchased the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy.
DH bought me the Becoming by Michelle Obama book and I am excited to dig in.
Not to mention I’m going to be reading The Mister and We’re Going to Need More Wine. I have so many books that I already own that I am happy to finally get to read.
Can you tell I’ve been doing a lot of reading? I’ve read more in the past few weeks than I have in the last year.
I love when Ulta has their 21 Days of Beauty and I’ve gotten a few items that I love. But I must confess…I’ve found the absolute best mascara. Trust me on this!
When I was a kid my dad and I would play a game called 500 or 2500. For years I’ve searched and asked around about the game and never could figure out either the real name of the game or the rules. At the beginning of the stay at home situation, I bought a deck of playing cards.
With the cards they have a website to learn how to play different games. As I was searching I realized the name of the game is actually called 500 Rum. After watching a YouTube tutorial it all came back to me and now I’m teaching my kids how to play.
Some of my best memories of my dad were staying up really late playing Monopoly and 2500. With all this time on your hands, I highly suggest the game. Plus I felt the card game would be good to keep our minds sharp.
We also purchased a deck of UNO cards, because our other deck clearly walked away, and Phase 10 cards. We haven’t played it yet but we did play it with my parents on our last beach vacation. I like a good long game that makes you have to use your noggin 🙂
Speaking of UNO, we like the set that has a couple of cards you can write what you want on them…what are some of the things you write on yours?
I love a good jigsaw puzzle and thought about buying one but frankly, we would have nowhere for it to go. We use our dining table and it’s not like we have a separate dining room with an additional table to house the puzzle while we work on it.
Before all of the stuff going on now I saw an ad on another game on my phone I was playing for a puzzle game and I love it and play it everyday. I’m kind of addicted.
Glam Planner has been having a sale on a lot of her kits lately and I purchased a few of her essentials planner kits. I figured why not since what am I really planning these days? But planning helps me to deal with my anxiety. I must say, although I prefer no white space planning, her essentials kits are a real treat and I think I can easily go back and forth between full kits and essentials kits.
I placed a pretty large order recently with Glam Planner but it always helps when it doesn’t really feel like it’s coming out of my own bag thanks to my savings apps. I cashed in some of my Ibotta balance to buy the stickers. I love when that happens 🙂
Speaking of planning…starting today Erin Condren is having a huge 60% off warehouse sale! There’s a lot of planner goodies included in the sale and some of the styles will be retiring so it’s a good time to get your hands on some of the items on your Erin Condren wishlist.
Those are just a few of the things I’ve been loving lately. It’s my goal to give you a bright spot in your day when you come to the blog or see my email appear in your inbox.
