I have an Iphone and I’ve had a few apps for shopping on it for a long time. Some I use more than others. Some don’t get used and then get deleted. Others I reference regularly. About a week ago I was listening to a podcast about a few of the shopping/coupon apps I had heard about but hadn’t tried yet. After getting the jist of how they work, I decided they were worth the download. And as always, I like to pay it forward by sharing with my readers. I’m super excited that I found these apps and I only wish I had found them sooner! Or at least downloaded them before (I was at several of the participating stores today and could have used both of these apps to my benefit!) Both of these apps are available for Iphone and Android users.

How it works: Pick an offer such as Bush’s Baked Beans (an active offer as I type and something I purchased earlier today prior to downloading…grrr) The offer is earn 25 cents. So I tap on it. When I do I can see two or three additional clicks from something such as: take a quiz, a poll, share on facebook or twitter, watch a short video…all of these items earn me more money, from a small as 25 cents and up. When I go to a participating store and Bush’s Baked Beans is on my list, I will purchase in store and afterwards scan my receipt and barcode. The money off the offer stated it was for will be deposited into my fund which then goes into my paypal account after reaching a minimum payout of $5.00. I’ve already got $7.00 pending and it’s for items that I actually buy.
Why I love it: I’m always trying to find more ways to save and this not only does that but I am earning real cash money at the same time! I’m not really doing so much extra, just taking a few extra minutes on my smartphone. You could even do it as you’re going into the store! It’s perfect for everybody. For my location some of the stores participating are: Harris Teeter, Walmart, Target, Commissary if you live on base, and Sam’s Club. There are tons of major grocery chains such as: Safeway, Pathmark, ShopRite, Publix, Fry’s and Kroger. You can invite your friends to earn rewards and extra bonuses! Get started here!

How it works: This app works in two ways. First on your phone, when you’re on your phone you will go thru the app and it will show you the participating stores near you. You go thru the stores, it will show you different items like you would see in a weekly ad by the store for example. Like the items you like and may want to purchase, when you’re in the store, the app will alert you to remind you about the item. Purchase it and get extra kicks. Also, just by swiping thru the offerings in each of the stores, you’ll get random extra kicks. So it’s something to do when you’re bored sitting in a waiting room or something.
The second way the app works is when you’re in the store. You get kicks just for walking into the store! Also by scanning items in the store, and by making purchases. Kicks are points and those points accumulate and you can use them towards gift cards to stores like Target, Old Navy, Starbucks, Papa John’s, Sephora, Coach, Redbox and more! All just for using this app! Invite your friends and you both will get extra kicks!
Why I love it: I love how easy this app makes it to earn rewards!! Why not get kicks just for walking into the store you were already going to shop at? Why not get extras for buying items you saw in the app when you go to the store? There are so many stores, even if you live in a smaller city, you’ll still be able to benefit. Many times apps like Groupon and Living Social, which are great for saving money, I love Groupon myself, but I can’t use it to it’s full extent. The local offers are all for the Raleigh area as the closest to me, so that sucks. But with this app if you have a Wal-Mart and a Target then you can use it! Places you shop at anyway! Old Navy, Macy’s, Best Buy, Walgreens, JCPenny, Kohl’s, American Eagle, Gymboree, Victoria’s Secret, Pet Smart, Toys R Us, The Home Depot…I mean that’s just a small sampling! And larger areas will have even more, including some local shops! This app just makes it super easy to save for a goal, or save it up so you can use the giftcards for the holidays or a treat for yourself! Go ahead and get started and thank me later! Click here to get started!
What I love the most about these apps are the ease of saving! They truly make it a no-brainer. It’s not time consuming and you get so many great perks. If couponing isn’t your thing, here’s another way to save your hard earned moola. Happy Saving! 🙂
